Shel Silverstein was one of my favorite authors growing up. I loved the quirkiness of his poems. Somehow they seemed more real than the non-fiction books we were required to read in school. Perhaps because I could relate better to the quirkiness.
This diaper developed after I read The Giving Tree with my kids.
I thought, "I have to share this with everybody. It's such a great book!"
If you haven't checked out the website for Shel Silverstein, it's worth having a look! It floats you right back to childhood with it's silly seriousness. There are all sorts of fun printables and activities that would be great for homeschoolers, and lots of other fun stuff for the everyday (adult)kid.
I also love Where the Sidewalk Ends.
