Good day to you! I hope you had a fantastic holiday weekend for you who were celebrating Memorial day!
Here is a pretty printable for you for your prayer requests. I don't know about you, but often I have "mommy brain" and though I may promise to pray for someone I usually forget a name/date/specifics. It helps to write those things down! Click here to download the PDF.

Last week I finished up some covers for my cousin who is new to my diapers/covers. So I used one of her covers to show her how to use it. See the picture below!

Click the pic to see a larger view!
1. Start with your cover open flat.
2. Make sure your gussets are open and not laying in so that they will form a sort of seal around baby's legs when it's all closed.
3. You have 5 rows of snap parts. The top two are to hold the wings in place. However, I'm snapping it up to the microfit in these pictures for the teeny tiny baby. This makes the rise (part in between baby's legs) come up higher.
4. Bring the row of studs up to the top row of sockets and snap them in place.
5. & 6. show you what it will look like as you do it.
7. Then, with the microfit, the wings will snap in the rise snaps.
8. Bring the right side over first.
9. It will look like so...
10. Then bring the left side over and snap. You'll need to determine how tight you want the waist to fit, but this is the smallest it will get.
11. Side view where chubby baby legs will be! :)
12. As baby grows, move the rise snaps down.
13. The largest setting on the rise. This size still fits my 30 lb two year old quite well.

I must say, if I were to need to diaper another baby I would most assuredly use covers with prefolds/flats. As time went on with my youngest I found that covers and prefolds were just as easy as an AOI or any other type of diaper. And the drying time was much faster!

How about some fashion for a Fashionable Friday?

First, make your hair look gorgeous.

Add some fun shorts to your collection. Love the pom-poms!

Add a bracelet to your ensemble.

Just a quick note to ask for your patience while I play around with my blog format and get ready to debut a new banner. It might seem messy around here for a few days. But...It's time to refresh!
Thanks so much for visiting!

A Blessed Sunday to you!

Oh! That's me. Hello!

If I can make something in an hour, (with interruptions from my son included), I am one happy mama.  This shirt above I made using a pattern I found on Sew Mama Sew. It was super simple and quick to make once I read over the instructions ;)

I've been unhappy with my cool weather clothes. By nature,  I'm a tshirt and jeans type girl. Lately that just wasn't getting it done for me. I needed something more. And I've been making an effort to look more presentable. (Hanging out in your grubby clothes for everything tends to start to make you feel grubby after a while!) I'm a fan of loose tops so I can move around, and when the hot hot weather gets here it lets the air flow.
I also made this peasant blouse by improvising using one I already have as a pattern.

Perhaps I'll put together a real pattern for it sometime soon so that you can make one, too!
Do you sew for yourself?

Many busy days consumed with saving super-hero's from lava, and dodging bullets (bees!).

My days are all about my kids these days. Crafts and art work, sewing and even house projects are all on the back burner while give them as much of me as I can.

Many changes coming for our little family in the near future. For today, I'll enjoy watching them play!
