When I was younger, I was a wanderer.
I'd see something and wonder what was there and go look.
With time and responsibility, I stopped wandering and stuck to safety and familiarity.
And then I had kids.
And my love for wandering is now ok again!
They will say, "What's over there?", and I will say, "I don't know. Let's go see!"
I still get caught up in responsibility and duty, but they give me a good excuse to maintain a certain child-like view of the world. Children are good for the soul. They invite us to see things with clear eyes, an open mind, and acceptance.
I think we'll do some more exploring this weekend. What are you going to do?
