Happy Weekend Indeed!

My mother-in-law met us in South Carolina for my husbands graduation this past week, and then followed us home for a couple days to visit. We all had a great time and hopefully there won't be another two years before our next family get-together. She left earlier today to head home. (A 24 hour drive! Prayers for her safety!)
It was the perfect opportunity for a family photo!
Then the husband and I got down to business! We scored a great stainless above-the-stove microwave from the Habitat for Humanity Reuse store for $40! So we took out the old one and installed the new one. That was quite the adventure, but hubby did great! And now we only have one more appliance to replace before the kitchen is all stainless steal. Pretty exciting for us.

After that was done, I got back to working on my new work station table-top. As I mentioned in my previous post, I wanted to make it look like that pottery barn knock-off. I think it came out pretty cute! Rather than using random numbers or letters, I used my kids birth dates in different sized numbering. Now I can get back to sewing and creating!

Hope your weekend has been as good as mine!
