As promised last week, I am going to share a little about cloth diapering your baby without breaking the bank. Here is a short tutorial on how to make a quick and easy,(and inexpensive), prefold diaper.

You will need
1 tshirt
scissors
thread
a sewing machine
a ruler for straight cutting
some pins
That's all!

Lay your tshirt out flat and using a straight edge, cut off the top of the shirt right under the sleeves.

With your shirt still laying flat, cut up one side.
...So you will have one long length of fabric.
Fold one side about three quarters of the way over, and make a smaller fold near the middle so you have three layers of fabric.
Bring the other side of the fabric over and line it up with the bottom layers in the middle, so that you have four layers down the middle for a thicker soaker layer.
See, four layers.
Now pin down your soaker layers, slightly tucking under the raw ends. It doesn't have to perfect, the diaper police won't get ya!
Now sew a straight line right down each side of the soaker layer.
Trim the top and bottom edges so that they are even. Now sew the top and bottom closed with a serger. If you don't have one a zigzag stitch should work just as well.

And there you have the beginning to your prefold stash!

Check out the other tutorials going on!
